Converse kicks it up a notch when it comes to combat boots. Its Men's Stealth Desert Tan Boots (Converse C8894) feature Tailex and Cambrelle lining. This lining ensures long-lasting comfort, abrasion resistance and climate control. Cambrelle lining technology allows Converse military boots to rapidly adapt to a foot that's constantly in motion, which prevents any burdening blisters and other unwanted aches. Additionally this lining creates tiny air pockets that maintain a favorable climate inside the boot, giving your foot more breathing room during any tactical operation. Especially vital in hot climates, this lining will capture every iota of moisture, pulling it away from the foot and readying it for evaporation as soon as your boot is removed. This speedy evaporation process will also keep the boot from attracting unwanted mildew- and odor-causing bacteria. The tan Stealth side zipper is a high-quality YKK brand that unzips with ease so you won't have to fuss with loosening your boot laces after a strenuous mission. Furthermore, the side zipper makes any airport security check a breeze. Other important highlights include a composite toe that's rated ASTM F2413-05 I/75 C/75. What does that mean? Basically, it says your toes will be safe from an impact up to 75 pounds and compressive loads up to 2,500 pounds. Inside the shoe, there's a molded, dual-density polyurethane cushion insert. While it is removable, this insert provides a ridged pillow to protect the sole of your foot. For extra reinforcement, Converse placed an EVA midsole, or Ethylene Vinyl Acetate sole, between your feet and the rugged terrain. This durable, lightweight addition gives even more padding where you need it the most. Rounding out the boot's sole, there's a shock eliminator heel plug and a dual-density mountain trail outsole that gives not one, but two firm, shock-absorbing layers of compact rubber. |
