The Good News: 1. Good, non-metalic mode of quick-lacing 2. Great cleats, with lotsa traction and "bite" 3. Heel shape allows a rolling motion when you're running 4. Zipper really is tough and speeds-up getting your boots on, in a hurry 5. Heel has padding under you, to soak up up impact shock, when walking on a concrete ramp or on a road march. 6. Protective toe cap keeps you from getting hurt if someone drops an ammo box on your toe. 7. The way that the toe-area of the front of the sole sweeps-up onto the front of the boot helps it to last longer. 8. Not too heavy, for a fairly protective boot. 9. Seem to be grippy as opposed to sloppy or slippery on a variety of surfaces, including snow and icey slush. No, they're not glacier boots with crampons, but you do feel like you're wearing cleats, like they grab the ground. low foliage and grassy areas. The potential drawbacks.... 1. Early-on, there was initial chafing in the upper heel and lower ankle are; I don't know whether I toughened-up, or the heel area softened-up some, but NO problem, now. 2. If you require extreme stealth, these tough soles are NOT quiet, or nearly silent, like a pair of jungle boots, if you need stealth. 3. Would be better if they were waterproof, like with Gore Tex, like Haix boots, but for this price, what do you expect? 4. Do not dry very quickly, once soaked, but this is partly because these things are more substantial, so there's more TOO dry. Still, I would buy this kind of boot again, and at this low of a price, so long as you can deal with the potential drawbacks, some of which are just a matter of personal preference, this is a heck of a deal, if you ask me. -Worn these for months, now, in hot and cold.

Best boots ive ever owned period. Ive tried just about every brand you can think of over the last 20 years. Just really upset that they're discontinued and out of my size !

I bought these boots for my husband last year for his birthday because I knew that he liked the zipper style boots and this one has a great zipper so anyways needless to say the boots are great he has had them for over ayear and only tied them the first day he got them he said that they are by far the most comfortable boots he has ever had and they have lasted the longest we usually by him a new pair of boots at least twice a year and now only once a year so to sum it up great boot with a great price you can't beat these boots

These are the best pair of boots I've ever had. I'm Active Duty Military and I've been wearing the same pair of boots for over two years now. They hold up great and are very comfortable. They did take about a week and a half for them to be broken in and they did give me blisters the first few days. After they got broken in and the blisters healed, I haven't had any problems since. Definitely getting another pair.

I've used these boots for a year now and really put them through their paces. I walk over heavy gravel, climb on equipment, walk through mud and water. They've taken everything I can dish out to them and they have held up GREAT. They were a little uncomfortable at first , but within a day or two they were the best boot I've ever worn for work. I have two pair of Red Wing boots, that are brand new, I refuse to ware as long as I have these. They are AWESOME boots. I will buy another pair.

After wearing these boots 15 minutes around the house. My best description on comfort would be crawling out of my skin. They dig in under the outside ankle bone and cut the skin,again in 15 minutes. the composite toe is to narrow digging into the side of the toes. Sounds like I have a wide foot right, Nope C width narrow foot. There going back.

I have been wearing them for six months now, and still love them. They have been great work boots. I am on my feet a lot and these boots keep my feet feeling great. They are well worth the money and will definitely buy them again when they wear out.

I have been wearing these boots for some time now and they remain in good condition and my feet feel like they were poured into the boots they fit so well. The soles and seams are very durable. After messing them up gutting a deer last month, they cleaned up almost like new. Try the Kiwi desert boot cleaning kit to keep them nice looking. Being ex-USAF I love the sage green color, which goes with most anything including many camo patterns.

i have had my boot's for one week now. they are so great i think i'm going to order another pair. im on my feet 10 to 12 hour's a day and it is like walking on air. also these boot's are lighter than any boot i have every worn i have wore a lot of boots but nothing like these. i dont think u will be disappointed if u by them. there is about 7 people at work that love the way they fill they are going to buy a pair.

For those of you who are tired of the military issue boots, these are the way to go. I bought mine in 2010 and I absolutely love them. They're so easy to put on and the zipper makes it so much easier. Very easy to clean as well, for those of you who have that one 1stSgt who's nit picky about dress and cover...

I Bought my first pair in 2007 for playing Milsim Paintball in the woods & rocky terrains and haven't looked at another boot sense. Ive owned and worn all kinds of work boot, military jungle and jump boot and even swat tactical boot, but non compared to or lasted as long as these. These boots have became my every-day shoe due to their comfort and easy on/off ability and the side zip with no need to tie the boot every day. Now, 5 years later, I'm buying my second pair as my first have finally worn out to the point of needing replacing. I recommend these boots to anyone seeking a comfortable, well constructed, long lasting boot for everyday use, a safety toe working boot or a good hiking/hunting boot.

I just received my new boots today and I have to say they fit horribly, this would have been my 3rd pair. Each of the other 2 pairs fit perfectly from day one and lasted a little over a year. I am on my feet 10 hours a day on average and these boots have been incredible. This new pair the compostie toe sticks down too far and the insoles have ridges in the toe area... Absolutely horrible, awating RMA number so I can return them.

I can't stand the Navy issue boots. They're cruel and unusual torture. These boots feel more like sneakers than boots. A nice perk to the composite toe is they don't set off metal detectors. The zipper doesn't seem like it would be ALL that great, but trust me - when you're getting up at O-dark-thirty, you'll appreciate that extra minute every single time. Also, I normally wear a wide in combat boots, but these are wide enough already for me.

these are the lightest boots i have ever had! only wish they were water proof. these are the only boots i will buy from here on out 1

These are the best boots I've ever owned. I've been issued Veitnam era jungle boots, Bates Duty boots, and Navy flight deck boots. I've owned Wolverine boots and other work boots and these have lasted 4-5 times longer.

I have owned my first pair for 2-1/2 years. I am now about retire them and purchase my second pair. From the get go they were the most comfortable boot I have ever worn and I have worn several different boots including Air Force BMT issued Altimas. The side zip makes boot lacing a thing of the past; no worrying about getting them too tight or too loose one day to the next just slip them on and zip you're ready to go.

25 year AF Vet. best boot i ever had. Will never buy any thing else while i am in the military and will probly wear them when i get out. Deployments, flightline, jungle, concrete or everyday at home station. fits like a glove, walks like a shoe. hard toe for heavy eight work. Just can't beat em, especially wild about the zipper. Givem a try, you will be glad that you did.

Spent 20+ years in the Air Force standing all day riggings parachutes great boots. Now that I am rertired I still wear these boot when I ride my motorcycle and when i go hunting. Some of the most comfertable boots I have owned.

This is the most comfortable pair of boots I've ever owned, and will stand up to some serious abuse. I am a shipboard engineer in the Coast Guard, so my boots are constantly being subjected to things like hot metal, sharp edges, abrasive surfaces, dirty oil, diesel fuel, JP-5, and salt water, and these boots put up with all of it without complaint. I've had them for about a year and the tread is just about worn out, but I understand our decks are hard on boots and the rest of the boot is still fine and just as comfortable as when I bought them. I know it sounds like they wore out quickly but for reference I have yet to see a pair of boots last me more than a year. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 was because the heel support was lacking... a $12 pair of Dr, Scholl's heel pads made them perfect. Mine are about due for replacement, but hey, $100 a year for this level of performance is well worth it to me. I'll be ordering another pair soon.

Good: super confortable, I'm on my feet everyday. easy to break in. the side zipper made for easy on and off. Bad: stitching is coming undone, the sole is pealing off of the toe and the stitching on the side zipper is coming undone. would recommend these boots

Well built, high quality, extremely comfy, and has great ankle and arch support. I would definitely buy another pair.

These are by the far the most comfortable boots I have found and will only wear these now when in ACUs. Liked them so much I even bought a black pair for my civilian job. Overall awesome and worth the money!

i was in special forces yrs ago then went cp bodyguard in iraq,met some good USA forces guys out there,went into liberty camp in baghdad,seen these boots,and i can tell you best boot ever worn and i'm trying to get some more, but i live in uk

These are by far the most comfortable work boots that I have ever own. If you do a lot of walking they are the perfect!!!!

This will be my third pair of these. I have had several pairs of Magnums and others. These boots are the most comfortable boots I have ever had. I am Lieutenant in the Federal Bureau of Prison, so i walk alot. I would recommend these to anyone.

It did take a while to break in my boots. i got them while i was in kuwait waiting to come home. But now they are the best pair of boots i own and i wear them to work every day. I love how light they are compaired to my loggers i used to wear for work.

I've had these boots about 2 weeks and they broke in within 3-4 days of wearing them. I ordered wide boots and they seem to fit true to size. The are extremely light for 8" tactical boots, very comfortable and are quiet when moving during room clearing, my last tac boots began to squeak after use, not good in a tactical environment. I would recommend these boots and would buy them again.
