One of the lightest boots on the market, the Converse Velocity UltraLite Trainer weighs approximately two pounds a pair. Its super durable upper is made of suede and 1000 denier ballistic nylon. Lined with nylon mesh, the ventilated boots keep feet dry. In addition to being lightweight, the military boots are beyond flexible. The dual density outsole has an EVA cushion midsole with rubber grip tread. Those wearing the boots will walk comfortably thanks to its removable F2A dual density polyurethane cushion insert.

In the winter of 1908, Converse Rubber Shoe Company commenced production on rubber-soled footwear. It wasn't long until the shoes were picked up by tennis and basketball athletes because of its flexibility and traction. Today Converse stands its ground as one of the most celebrated brands in the world—garnering dozens of nicknames for its shoes, including Chuck Taylors. In addition to sport-specific footwear, Converse designs boots for hiking and military. The brand name also appears on clothing and accessories. Converse boots provide the same comfort that can be found in its athletic shoe styles. For those who spend their workday on their feet, Converse footwear is a smart, well-performing choice.

Love them, very comfortable for long hours on concrete, just added some good quality inserts from Converse. However, I no longer work in a factory with a safety shoe reimbursement program so I'm trying to find a pair at a reasonable price online, as I need a new pair.
Not for rough terrain

I have had these boots for about a month now. I switch them out every 2 days with another pair of bellevilles that I have. Just walking around the FOB and the flight line here in Afghanistan has taken its toll on these boots. The sole is seperating from the upper, and the bottom is getting chewed up from the rocky terrain. Another problem I noticed is that they don't have very much arch support. They are very light weight and have no break in time. Back in the rear and with the right insoles I think these boots would be just fine. But if you're going to the field alot or deploying I would not recommend them.
CAUTION- EXTREMELY LIGHT

As the headline states, these boots are lighter than my addidas running shoes, and thats saying something! I held my basic combat boots in one hand, and these in the other and holy crap the difference is huge! Super light weight, but doesn't give up durability and the feeling of having a solid boot for downrange. These boots are a great investment, thats what boots are- an investment for your feet! I added my own dr scholls inserts UNDER the converse inserts, so i get extra cushion AND the support. Fantastic combo doing that btw. The heels aren't as cushioning as the stealth converse boots are, which is why i gave it 4 stars not 5. however, if they added the cushioning it would've been a heavier boot. so all in all its a good boot but the leather on the heel is tough and it'll take a ruck or 2 before they get softer, or a shower :D. long review, but its a good review! def. buy these!
