Some people show gratitude to America's soldiers by saying thanks. Danner does it by building this boot. Premium leather, weight-saving materials, and stitch-down durability—all handcrafted in Portland, Oregon. Built to serve, the USA-made Desert Acadia has a full-grain leather and 1000 Denier nylon exterior for rugged durability. Dri-Lex lining provides excellent heat mitigation. This sturdy boot, ideal for warmer climates, boasts a thick, cushioned footbed and a self-cleaning Vibram Sierra outsole. Danner’s famous stitch-down construction gives the boot a more stable platform underfoot and superior durability.

- Dri-Lex lining provides excellent vapor transport, is extremely quick drying, is completely breathable, resists odor and mildew in hot weather.
- Vibram Sierra outsole matches the color of their olive rough-out leather and fabric. The specific design and placement of the multi-directional lugs offer maximum traction and stability over various terrains, including wet and cold conditions.
- Stitchdown construction provides a wider platform for increased stability underfoot.
- Rough out, full-grain leather upper offers serious protection and toughness and is designed specifically for hot weather conditions, providing mildew resistance, breathability, and low water absorption.
- 1000 Denier nylon upper material is extremely resistant to abrasions, tears, and scuffs, improves breathability, and dries quickly.

About Danner
- Craftsmanship is king when it comes to Danner. Its high-quality work shoes made Danner a household name beginning in Chippewa Falls, Wis. Years later the business moved to Portland, Ore., and found great success by building logger-style work boots. The company found a new focus in the 1960s when outdoor activities such as hiking, backpacking and mountain climbing were promoted by the Kennedy administration. Nowadays Danner continues to create boots and shoes made with the same precision and know-how early 80 years ago. From the leathers to the outsoles to the liners, Danner executes the highest standards with their rugged footwear.

I had been searching for a 4E boot for a long time. I have a very high instep which proves to be a challenge in finding shoe and boots. Not only do these Danner's fit great but they required no break-in, I wore them for 12 hours the first day and did not have any hot spots.

Great looking boot, excellent fit and construction. Light weight and great for hiking, work or casual. Boots are Danner top of the line boot and quality is outstanding. I own several styles of Danner boots and these are my favorite. I always get compliments whenever I wear them.

I will never buy Danners again. They started to fall apart after 2 wks of buying them...then as time went on in iraq, and a total of 11 months of wearing them..completely fell apart. A waste of $220. They are heavy, killer on your feet.

Over all I love the Danner Acadia Boot in all it's variations. Two improvements please. 1. Higher quality thread in the stitching. 2. Wrap the leather around the heel like in your marine corps approved boots. Then you'll have what I think is a perfect boot.

The desert acadia boot is the best thing since sliced bread. It feels like a tennis shoe. It keeps me surprisingly dry in the most extreme conditions!!

I bought a pair of these boots before my deployment to Iraq. I remembered from Desert Storm how bad the Army issued boots were and did not want to go thought that pair again. These boots are by far the best boots I've ever worn. Now that I am preparing for my second Iraq deployment, I am buying a second pair of boots so that I can rotate them. My first pair are still in great shape and certainly have many more miles on them. BUY THESE BOOTS!

For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear. When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.
