About Magnum
- Springing from Hi-Tec Sports, Magnum's birth was a result of a request from the FBI for lightweight, athletic black tactical boots in the early 1980s. Pleased with the end-result, the FBI spread the word about the boots. Members of law enforcement and security agencies decided to try out the groundbreaking footwear. Throughout the years, it has continued to have a strong research and development presence. As its reputation grew, Magnum became a heavy contender in the footwear and apparel industry and officially separated from Hi-Tec. I clock tons of foot patrol for my department and these boots have been great. I normally wear a 10 or 10.5 shoe but I went 11.5 with these for added comfort. These boots are incredibly comfortable and durable. The only ding I would say is it's not the ideal boot to wear an ankle holster with (if you carry a backup weapon). I prefer a taller boot so the ankle holster doesn't scrape your ankle!
