About Rocky
- Beginning in 1932, Rocky Shoes sprang from the minds of two brothers who found themselves out of a job during the Great Depression. Although the company has switched hands throughout the years, its footwear has always been renowned for its durability and ruggedness. The boots themselves are great & durable. there a little bulky and they feel as though they would be difficult to break in, i really needed boots that are flexible and comfortable to sprint and climb in. but still high quality

I work for the DeKalb co. Ga. fire dept. 26 stations and 100,000 calls a year. These are the best boots I have ever had, they are tough, easy to shine, and provide good ankle support. The front zipper is tough, the full gusset tongue keeps dirt and water out. They dont sweat your feet, these are dang good boots.
Durable, but hard to break in.

The first thing I did when I bought these boots was to lose the front zipper and replace the laces with a pair of kiwi's. Though a neat idea, the front zipper on these is made from low grade materials and is cumbersome and difficult to work. However; these boots are tough as nails. I work both security and law enforcement and once I got these broken in, I've worn them everyday for over a year now and after a quick buff, they still look brand new. Easy to shine to a high gloss, they'll pass any roll call with minimum care given to them. Definately recommend.
