The Hot Weather Combat Boot is constructed for the U.S. Marines. The boot provides a high comfort level with a premium polyurethane Wellco TUFFkushion midsole construction including a Vibram rubber slip & oil resistant outsole. The boot interior includes the Wellco Elite Signature Insole for additional comfort to separate the Hot Weather Combat Boot from the rest.

About Wellco
- Originally known as the Wellco Shoe Corporation, Wellco Enterprises' first shoes were much different than the ones it makes today. Lightweight slippers and casual shoes branded as Wellco Foamtreads, the shoes were discontinued in 1985. However, the Tennessee-headquartered company diversified in 1965 by stepping up to produce a military boot during the Vietnam War. To date, Wellco remains one of the top innovators of combat boots. It is dedicated to outfitting both the men and women on the battlefields and those veterans returning home. In addition, civilians and tactical operators throughout the country wear these military boots. No matter where the battle lines are drawn, Wellco works to ensure well-performing products for those in the service.

Pretty good boots

I have limited experience with combat boots. I bought these for USMC OCS this summer. They are hot weather ICBs, not jungle boots. No insulation, minimal padding, no instep drain holes. Relatively comfortable, they run about 1/2 size larger than shoe size. Sturdy construction, soft toe (not steel toe). Overall, pretty good for the money.

I love this boot, but it took two tries to get the right size. I measure 11.5 on the Brannock device and wear 11.5-12 in street shoes, 12-12.5 in athletic shoes. Per recommendations I ordered 11.5 in this boot and it was too big all around, so I returned it and ordered a size 11 which is an absolutely perfect fit and has still plenty of toe room. It's also good for a smaller volume foot like mine. This is the boot I've been looking for. I'm not concerned about super light weight, I want good fit and durability, and this boot is it. I'll probably order another pair for a spare.
(Note: I am not military, just need a good all around boot for outdoor activities).

these combat boots are the most recomendable boots. they are rugged and reliable. i would rather buy these boots than anything.
