Danner TFX GTX Review

Danner boots are well known for their unmatched quality and attention-to-detail construction. So, it was no surprise when we came across a video review from en2hammster raving about Danner’s TFX GTX.

He starts out by accentuating the most important aspect of great tactical gear—footwear. He feels that it’s an overlooked aspect and that our feet are instrumental in excellent performance. “If you don’t take care of your feet, you are not going to go very far or be very effective,” he said.

What else did he say? Scope the review highlights below.

  • There was no break-in time. No hot spots. No blisters.
  • “My feet don’t get as tired. I don’t feel fatigued in these. I just go and go and go.”
  • Outstanding support especially in the ankle region.
  • Feet perspire less.
  • Gore-Tex liner is impressive.

  1. I wore these boots in Afghanistan, they are tough and they handled rough rocky terrain as well as the sand extremely well. I never had to break them in, they had outstanding support for my ankle as well as the insole was padded to keep my heels from hurting on long patrols
